Friday night is here, WWE Universe! 😀

It's time to get ready for another WWE Friday Night SmackDown, and tonight's show has plenty of championship stakes, returning stars, rising contenders, and some seriously personal rivalries.

According to WWE.com, tonight's SmackDown airs at 8/7c on USA, and the advertised card features three matches that could have major consequences for the blue brand. (WWE)

And honestly... there's one question hanging over the entire show:

The stakes: 🏆 Women's United States Championship

It's a huge night for Paige.

Following her shocking betrayal by WWE Hall of Famers The Bella Twins at SummerSlam, Paige is stepping back into the ring and immediately has championship gold in her sights.

Standing across from her will be Jacy Jayne, who captured the Women's United States Championship from Tiffany Stratton on the August 14 episode of SmackDown. (WWE)

Now Jayne has to prove that her championship victory wasn't a fluke.

Can Paige make a spectacular return and become champion?

Or will Jacy Jayne shut down the comeback and continue her reign?

Talk about a dangerous situation!

Chelsea Green and Tiffany Stratton will team up to battle Nia Jax and Lash Legend, better known as the Irresistible Forces. 

And Chelsea isn't exactly entering this match at 100%.

WWE notes that Green is dealing with a broken orbital bone, but that didn't stop her from grabbing a kendo stick and rushing to Tiffany's aid when Nia and Lash attacked her. 

Now these four Superstars are going to settle things inside the ring.

• Can Chelsea survive the match despite her injury?

• Will Tiffany and Chelsea actually be able to work together?

• Can Nia Jax overpower both opponents?

• Will Lash Legend continue building momentum?

This could get ugly very quickly.

After arriving on SmackDown alongside Alexa Bliss, Paxley wasted little time making an impact.

WWE says Paxley jumped into the action when Michin and B-Fab were involved in Charlotte Flair's match against Jade Cargill. (WWE)

Now Paxley gets her first official SmackDown match against Michin.

This could be a major opportunity for Paxley to announce herself to the SmackDown roster.

Last week's Undisputed WWE Championship match between CM Punk and Kevin Owens ended in absolute chaos.

Sami Zayn shocked everyone when he interfered and attacked Owens with the championship, allowing Punk to defeat KO. Zayn then attacked both Punk and Owens after the match. 

Now WWE is asking:

❓ How will CM Punk and Kevin Owens respond?

Will Punk demand answers?

Will Owens go after Sami?

Or could we see all three Superstars collide?

One thing is certain:

This situation is nowhere near finished. 🔥

And then there's Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton.

These two are on a collision course heading toward their highly anticipated showdown on Sept. 6.

If Cody or Randy initiates physicality before their match, that Superstar will never receive another Undisputed WWE Championship opportunity.
