Imagine waking up aboard a starship that has been entirely wrecked, surrounded only by corpses and wreckage. It seems like the start of a horror film, don't you think? Not in Breathedge, though! By adding a good dose of satire and dark humor to the survival genre, the game adopts a novel approach.


The Man, the sole protagonist of the game, is a cynical and sardonic figure who offers commentary on everything from the absurdity of his predicament to the absurdity of some of the goods he can make. For instance, you could create a plush chicken toy with a chainsaw as its head. The phrase "chicken with a chainsaw for a head" is accurate.


You will run into a variety of difficulties and problems as you scavenge for materials and make tools and equipment. Because oxygen levels are constantly dropping, you must carefully manage your resources. In the shadows, dangerous animals wait to strike at any time. Not to mention the dangers of space, such radiation and debris.


However, Breathedge never takes itself too seriously despite all of these difficulties. There are all kinds of absurdities that you'll run into, including a talking toilet that dispenses random stuff or a big space whale that demands various varieties of junk food. Even funnier commentary on the scenario is provided by the Man's talking chicken friend, so let's not even begin there.


Another noteworthy aspect of the game is its distinct atmosphere and narrative. You will learn about a plot involving a strange corporation and the secrets they were attempting to conceal as you investigate the spaceship's wreckage. It's an interesting and intriguing story with lots of turns and turns to keep you interested.


Breathedge is an overall entertaining game that will have you laughing out loud. It's a game that's definitely worth playing because of its blend of difficult survival gameplay, amusing humor, and an interesting narrative.
