E3 2022 is canceled! Let’s check out some of the upcoming events we have left.
So like a lot of people on April 1st one of the first stories I saw on YouTube was about E3 2022 the digital event was canceled . At first I thought it was a April Fools Joke, unfortunately it was not the case.
We lucky have a lot of great events to look forward to ( or at least as of this writing nothing else has been canceled ). Let’s check out some of the upcoming events we have gaming or otherwise.
First up we have the Meta Quest Gaming Showcase (formerly known as the Oculus Gaming Showcase) returns for the 2nd year. They tease new announcements for games and more surprises at the event. Rumors of new hardware (Quest Pro/Quest 3) to be revealed. Event is talking place on April 20th at 1 pm eastern on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitch.
Rumors of a PlayStation VR 2 event taking place either before April 20 or after the Meta/Oculus Gaming Showcase event taking place, have been teased for awhile.
Summer Games Fest hosted by Geoff Keighley starts some time this June. We still are waiting to hear all the details but it was talked about earlier in the year about starting it around the Xbox showcase (that usually starts before E3 in early June).
San Diego Comic Con 2022 takes place July 21-24th, they usually have a lot of news about comics, tv, movies, and more at this huge event.
Gamescom 2022 returns as a live event (not just digital) game expo in Cologne, Germany. That's accompanied by the development focused Devcom event (August 22-23). The main Gamescom 2022 takes place August 24-28.
Tokyo Game Show (also known as TGS) 2022 is also going to be a live event like Gamescom 2022. They even have a theme for the show: Nothing Stops Gaming. They have press days September 15-16 and public days September 17-18.
